Digital Autopsy UK are pleased to announce a new 12-month contract working with HM Coroner for Derbyshire, Dr Robert Hunter and Derbyshire County Council.
Deceased will be collected from the hospital in Derbyshire and taken to our Stoke facility for scanning and from Chesterfield they will be scanned at our Sheffield facility. It is hoped that the potential to open a new facility specifically for the Derbyshire Coroner will be considered within the next six months.
We hope that this facility will provide a significant advance for the families and reduce the need for a more traditional post mortem in the vast majority of cases. For more information on how these facilities operate please see the section Our Facilities.
